Joe joined The Health Policy Partnership in September 2021 as Director of Policy, to provide cross-company strategic oversight of all our policy work as the organisation grows in breadth of research and depth of engagement with decision-makers. Joe also leads HPP’s innovative and respected portfolio on cardiovascular disease, and is Network Director of the Heart Failure Policy Network.

Joe has a broad background in health policy research and advocacy, from UK central government and parliament to think-tanks, trade associations and medical charities. He also has experience in strategy development and delivery at a major London hospital and Academic Health Science Centre.

He has published reports and journal articles, presented at international research conferences and provided expert comment in the media.

Joe has a Master’s degree in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics and Political Science.
