Associate Director of Research and Policy; Programme Lead, health system readiness

‘I believe that HPP’s evidence-driven, intersectoral approach to developing policy recommendations can influence real improvement in healthcare.’

Lucy joined The Health Policy Partnership in February 2021 and has been Associate Director of Research and Policy since October 2022. She is currently leading HPP’s involvement in the A Million Conversation initiative, working to create policy change that can help build health equity and overcome medical mistrust. She also leads HPP’s programme of work on health system readiness for new components of care, including specific work on radioligand therapy and precision cancer clinical trials.

Before joining HPP, Lucy worked as a Research Manager in the Patient-Centered Outcomes team at Adelphi Values, where she developed and validated clinical outcome assessments in oncology, ophthalmology, respiratory disease and neurodegenerative conditions. She has also worked as a Research Assistant at the London Women’s Clinic, where she explored policy and clinical data on egg freezing and egg donation. Lucy has experience of making health policy accessible to the public through her work as a Research and Communications Associate for Impact Ethics at Dalhousie University in Canada.

Lucy holds an MPhil in Health, Medicine and Society and a BA (Hons) in Sociology, both from the University of Cambridge.
