Plum holds a Master’s in Public Health Nutrition from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, where she explored UK government policy effectiveness for tackling childhood obesity. She also has a BSc in Biological Sciences from Exeter University, where her dissertation focused on the emergence of SARS and the policy lessons from pandemics of the past to prepare for pandemics of the future.
