HPP is proud to have contributed an article to the Innovations in Oncology campaign. Authored by Associate Director of Research and Policy Christine Ridout, the article featured as a supplement in the Guardian newspaper.

‘Proactive planning for the future of cancer care’ draws attention to the importance of readiness for innovation in the UK and ensuring people have access to innovative cancer treatments, regardless of where they live.

With the COVID-19 pandemic continuing to challenge UK health systems, Christine highlights the initial steps needed to reinforce and improve the country’s cancer services, including supporting workforces, updating infrastructure and taking the needs of people with cancer into account.
