The Mexican National Cancer Institute (INCan) and three signatory patient groups launched a ‘Metastatic Breast Cancer in Mexico: a call to action”, (Cáncer de mama metastásico en México: Un llamado a la acción) a landmark policy report researched by the Health Policy Partnership, and co-authored with leading national experts and stakeholders. The report aims to include metastatic breast cancer in the public health policy agenda and provide supporting information to patients and families about taking control of the event.
The high profile launch event took place at INCan’s main hospital, and was headed by the senior national stakeholders including INCan General Director Dr. Abelardo Meneses, INCan physician Dr. Paula Cabrera, President of AMLCC Mrs Mayra Galindo, and Cim*ab Director Mrs Bertha Alguilar.
