Publication of Hepatitis paper in the Lancet Gastroenterology and Hepatology

18 October 2016

A publication by Suzanne Wait, Emily Kell (formerly with HPP) and leading hepatitis experts from South East and East Asia has just been published online on the Lancet Gastroenterology & Hepatology.

The full publication will be available within a few months, but the link to the online version is available here.

The article, entitled “Hepatitis B and hepatitis C in southeast and southern Asia: challenges for governments” looks at the current situation regarding hepatitis B and C in seven countries – Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan, the Philippines and Thailand – with the goal of highlighting common challenges and approaches taken.

This paper draws on discussions held at a policy workshop in Istanbul in 2015 to which all authors participated. The workshop was organised by the Coalition to Eradicate Viral Hepatitis in Asia Pacific (CEVHAP), with whom the Health Policy Partnership have a Memorandum of Understanding to work together on policy projects.
