Online patient advocacy toolkit for radiopharmaceuticals launched

25 May 2023

As part of continued work on radiopharmaceuticals in cancer care, The Health Policy Partnership has launched a patient advocacy toolkit. The toolkit is a free online resource with practical information to empower users to advocate for improved access to radiopharmaceutical diagnostics and treatments.

We know that patient advocacy can lead to real-life changes in policy and practice – helping people get access to the most appropriate care, improving their quality of life, and creating healthier societies. But knowing how to start discussions with policymakers can seem daunting.

The Radiopharmaceuticals Patient Advocacy Toolkit focuses on ways that patient advocates can reach out to policymakers about radiopharmaceuticals. It outlines the process through which radiopharmaceuticals become available to patients and offers advice on how to advocate for their integration into cancer care.
