We design evidence-based tools that empower advocates – whether from industry, healthcare or patient organisations – to monitor how countries are performing in addressing known health challenges, and to highlight the policy and practice changes needed to improve outcomes.

Each tool is developed using a rigorous research approach to ensure credibility and transparency, while being practical, adaptable and easy to use.

To support health systems in delivering equitable access to innovation and best-practice care, we offer:

  • Implementation frameworks: our bespoke frameworks identify barriers and bottlenecks to health system readiness for implementing innovation. They are structured around domains aligned with the World Health Organization’s health system building blocks. We have applied this approach in collaboration with leading stakeholders across multiple countries and disease areas.
  • Care pathway mapping: working with clinical experts and patient representatives, we define what an ideal care pathway should look like and map the challenges that prevent people from accessing best-practice care. These pathways guide decision-makers on how to plan and deliver care that reflects the latest evidence and person-centred principles. This includes actionable recommendations for policymakers to strengthen care delivery within their national context.

  • Quality standards and indicators: we develop quality standards and indicators that provide a strong foundation for service redesign and quality improvement. Often created alongside a care pathway, these standards help local advocates define what good care looks like and how to achieve it. To ensure maximum credibility and impact, we use formal consensus methods and seek publication in peer-reviewed literature.
  • Scorecards: our scorecards provide a clear, comparative view of performance across key health policy and practice domains – whether between countries or over time. Developed in close consultation with experts and grounded in the latest evidence, the scorecards focus on indicators that matter most for improving health outcomes, helping advocates monitor progress and drive accountability.
  • Interactive maps: we design maps that visualise the state of play across countries, allowing users to explore and compare data on critical health policy and practice areas. These tools make evidence accessible and engaging, supporting advocates and policymakers to identify gaps, share best practice and inform local action.
