The Health Policy and Partnership has worked in collaboration with the International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) Global Policy and Partnerships Committee and local experts, to create six country profiles that assess the current state of lung cancer policy and care. Using standardised metrics, these profiles provide a clear picture of where progress is being made and where further policy action is needed to enhance outcomes and quality of life for people with lung cancer in Croatia, Egypt, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Nigeria.

The profiles evaluate key areas of lung cancer care, including risk reduction, earlier detection, care and living beyond lung cancer. Each profile offers country-specific recommendations for policymakers and healthcare leaders to strengthen national strategies. The profiles also feature case studies showcasing best practices, serving as a source of inspiration for other countries.

By highlighting both challenges and solutions, these profiles aim to drive evidence-informed policy decisions and ensure that lung cancer is better prioritised on the political agenda.

The best-case scenario provides additional inspiration for policymakers, clearly outlining what ideal policy and care could look like.
