Oriana Carswell

Oriana joined The Health Policy Partnership in November 2020 and was promoted to the role of Senior Researcher in January 2025. She has worked across several projects in areas including precision cancer medicine, and she is currently a member of the team providing secretariat to the Lung Cancer Policy Network.
Before joining HPP, Oriana was a researcher for the University of Sussex, working on a project that aimed to develop a sustainable regional early-warning system for fishing communities on Lake Victoria. She was also a short-term research consultant on a project for Uganda Red Cross, working to improve early action responses to disaster risk.
Oriana holds a BA in Geography and International Development from the University of Sussex.
