Saba Ul-Hasan
Senior Researcher
‘Having worked both on the hospital floor and in policy rooms, I believe meaningful change happens when we listen to those delivering care and those receiving it – and use that insight to shape smarter and fairer health systems.’
Saba joined The Health Policy Partnership in June 2025 as a Senior Researcher. She is a qualified medical doctor and experienced health policy professional with a strong foundation in both clinical practice and health systems research.
She has experience working in the NHS and the private sector, where she developed a deep understanding of front-line healthcare delivery. She later transitioned into health policy, driven by a passion for improving health systems through evidence-based, person-centred approaches. Saba has worked as a policy advisor in the maternity and neonatal team at the Department of Health and Social Care, contributing to national strategies aimed at improving outcomes for mothers, babies and families.
Saba is also an active researcher, with recent publications in Clinical Pharmacology & Therapeutics and BMJ Open. She holds a joint MSc in Health Policy, Planning and Financing from the London School of Economics and the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
