Webinar to examine how stronger metastatic breast cancer data can inform policy and improve care

How can health systems deliver the right care for people with metastatic breast cancer (MBC) if many remain invisible in the data?

This question sits at the heart of our upcoming webinar, Strengthening metastatic breast cancer data: informing policy, improving care. The event will mark the launch of a global policy brief, infographic and video highlighting the need to improve data collection on people living with MBC.

MBC data are poorly captured in many health systems. Important information about the number of people living with the disease, and their outcomes and experiences, is rarely collected consistently. As a result, decision-makers often lack the evidence to understand the scale of MBC, plan services effectively and ensure people receive the care and support they need.

At our free webinar – during Breast Cancer Awareness Month – our international panel of clinicians, researchers and patient advocates will discuss the real-world consequences of data gaps, including challenges in service planning and resource allocation, and barriers to research, innovation and equitable access to care.

The discussion will showcase examples of progress, demonstrating how better data collection makes people living with MBC more visible in health systems and supports informed decision-making.

Attendees will have the opportunity to ask the panellists questions during a live Q&A session.
