An animation highlighting the benefits of radiotherapy has been launched as part of The Health Policy Partnership’s work with the Marie Curie Legacy Campaign.

HPP developed the animation on behalf of the Marie Curie Legacy Campaign, which is led by the European Society for Radiotherapy and Oncology (ESTRO) and the ESTRO Cancer Foundation (ECF). It aims to highlight the crucial role of radiotherapy as part of high-quality cancer care.

Officially launched on World Cancer Day (4 February 2019), the animation was previewed at a policy forum hosted by Lieve Wierinck MEP at the European Parliament on 31 January 2019. HPP worked with ECF to run the policy forum as a continuation of work that included development of a white paper, Radiotherapy: seizing the opportunity in cancer care. The event included presentations by high-level stakeholders and a panel discussion moderated by Umberto Ricardi, President of ESTRO.

HPP worked with Oliver’s Island to produce the animation.
