National profiles reveal the state of COPD in ten countries around the world

20 November 2024

On behalf of the Speak Up for COPD coalition, The Health Policy Partnership (HPP) has published ten country profiles outlining the challenges and opportunities for action in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).

Launched on World COPD Day, the country profiles focus on Australia, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, China, Malaysia, Nigeria, Poland, Saudi Arabia and the UK. They were written to accompany the report The global state of COPD: driving change to tackle a lung health crisis, which was published earlier this year.

Alongside the launch of the country profiles, the global report and infographic have now been translated into French, German, Italian and Spanish.

All the resources are available on the Speak Up for COPD website. Speak Up for COPD campaigns to raise awareness and understanding of COPD among policymakers and healthcare decision-makers by amplifying the voices of patients, the COPD community and the public. Its ultimate goal is to establish COPD as a public health priority.
