Isabel Ritchie

Senior Researcher

‘Now more than ever, health system leaders and patient advocates need fresh thinking coupled with robust evidence to improve health and reduce inequalities. Being a part of The Health Policy Partnership’s evidence-based and impact-focused push for this is incredibly rewarding.’

Isabel joined The Health Policy Partnership in September 2023 and was promoted to Senior Researcher in August 2024. She is part of the Heart Failure Policy Network team and works on other projects in cardiovascular health.

She is passionate about health promotion and chronic disease prevention. Before joining HPP, Isabel worked for the non-profit organisation EuropeActive in Brussels as a health policy and public affairs intern. Her main project focused on social-return-on-investment evidence and social value framing of physical activity in European policies. She also supported engagement with the EU institutions to advocate for physical activity promotion. She has previously completed work placements with the University of Cambridge Health Inequalities Pillar and the UCL Department of Behavioural Science and Health.

Isabel holds a Master of Public Health specialised in health policy and management from École des Hautes Études en Santé Publique (France) and a BA in Human Geography from the University of Exeter (UK).
